Team BDS is seeking an experienced, passionate Social Media Producer to join our Berlin-based content team. This role is on-site in Berlin, and applicants must possess the right to work in Germany. This is not an entry-level position; we are looking for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in social media management, particularly within the esports industry. The successful candidate will bring an in-depth knowledge of League of Legends, a keen sense of current social media trends, and the ability to create content that resonates with our core audience. Key Responsibilities:

  • Social Media Production: Develop and produce high-quality, engaging social media content across platforms, tailored to various audiences from LinkedIn professionals to Gen Z followers. Emphasis on short-form content creation for platforms such as YouTube Shorts and TikTok, utilizing the latest trends and best practices.
  • Content Creation & Copywriting: Write compelling, targeted copy that appeals to a diverse esports audience, ensuring consistent voice and tone across all platforms.
  • Match Coverage: Cover LEC matches on-site at the LEC Studio, which requires weekend work and travel during the season. Ensure timely and accurate social media updates and highlights during matches.
  • Media Days: Assist in organizing and executing media days, collaborating closely with players and the content team to capture behind-the-scenes content and exclusive moments for fans.
  • Social Media Analytics: Utilize analytical tools to track and interpret social media performance, applying insights to optimize content strategies.
  • Creative Collaboration: Work closely with the Distribution Team, Head of Content, and Head of Communications to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and maximize the impact of social media initiatives.

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Expertise in Social Media Trends: Demonstrated knowledge of current social media trends, especially within the esports and gaming space, and an eye for identifying content opportunities that resonate with League of Legends audiences.
  • League of Legends & Esports Knowledge: Strong familiarity with League of Legends and the wider esports industry, ensuring authentic and relatable content for fans.
  • Content Production Proficiency: Advanced skills in short-form video editing (experience with tools like CapCut and Adobe Creative Suite), with a keen eye on current trends within the scene.
  • Copywriting & Tone Adaptability: Excellent copywriting skills, adaptable across formats and audiences, from formal LinkedIn posts to Gen Z-focused video captions.
  • Cross-Functional Communication: Ability to collaborate seamlessly with team members across departments, ensuring cohesion and clarity in content objectives.
  • Flexible & Adaptable: Willingness to work weekends and travel as required for match coverage and events.
  • Analytical Mindset: Basic understanding of analytics and project management tools for social media, with an ability to draw insights and refine strategies.

 

 

Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education: A degree in Media Communications or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years in a social media production role within esports, gaming, or a closely related field.
  • Language Skills: Business fluency in English is required; French is a strong plus.
  • Portfolio: Proven track record managing and producing content for professional social media accounts, especially within esports. Further accounts showcasing expertise in social media content production are a plus.
