Swiss eSport team Team BDS is well known for its talent and commitment to the eSport circuit. However, their originality extends far beyond their performance on competitions. When participating in the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC), the European League of Legends, the team decided to set themselves apart from other teams by bringing a biggest touch of communication to their stage appearances.
While most LEC teams only let their players be filmed sometimes as they arrive on stage ordon't even film them at all, Team BDS opted for a different approach. For each entrance, they created original and entertaining displays, which delighted the fans of the competition and created more engagement than in their first year in the competition.
These entrances were designed to reflect the team's personality, while highlighting the unique characteristics of each of their opponents, showing their creativity and commitment to their audience. For example, in the game against MAD Lions, the team arrived outside the LEC building as stretcher bearers in an ambulance vehicle with a stuffed lion lying on the stretcher as if the players were taking it to a hospital. For other matches, the entrances ranged from arriving on a bicycle to entering via a red carpet while dressed in a suit.
These original entrances were much appreciated by LEC fans, who praised the creativity and commitment of Team BDS. The team succeeded in setting itself apart from the competition by offering entertaining entrances, which aroused the enthusiasm of the public, as well as the LEC actors. For example, on Day 7 of the league, it was caster Quickshot who praised the team by leading the cast in a Team BDS jersey and shouting into the LEC set "BDS, BDS, BDS".
Team BDS proved that it is possible to bring a touch of fun and originality to a high-level competition, while remaining professional and committed. These entries strengthened the relationship between the team and its fans and showed that Team BDS is more than just an eSports team, but also a creative and committed community.
All in all, the Swiss team Team BDS is setting an example for other teams in the LEC and in eSports in general, by offering original and entertaining entrances that have left a mark on the minds of fans.
We look forward to seeing what surprises the team has in store for the next split!
